Supporting Regional Development

Community & Economic Development

Community & Economic Development helps strengthen the long-term vitality of communities across the region by supporting planning, partnerships, and projects that create economic opportunity. Through this work, local governments, organizations, and regional partners can connect with tools and guidance that support business growth, regional investment, resilience planning, and the development of projects that matter to their communities.

This program is especially valuable for those looking to move important ideas forward. Whether a community is identifying priorities, building momentum around a project, exploring regional data, or seeking alignment with broader economic development goals, this work helps turn local vision into coordinated regional action. It gives communities a way to be seen, supported, and connected to resources that can help create lasting impact.

The Cascades West Economic Development District (CWEDD) is designated by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration to work on economic development efforts in Linn, Benton, Lane, and Lincoln Counties.
