The Albany Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (AAMPO) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is the advisory body for the AAMPO Policy Board on issues that are primarily technical in nature. The TAC interacts with AAMPO staff on technical matters relating to planning, analysis, and projects, prior to presentation or recommendation for action to the Policy Board or the public.
Occasionally, additional committees and working groups are formed to assist with planning activities. A Regional Transportation Plan TAC (RTP TAC) was formed in 2018 to help guide development of AAMPO’s long range transportation plan. The RTP TAC includes all TAC members as well as additional transportation stakeholders representing economic development, public safety, community planning, public transportation, and the general public.
